Sexual Harassment Course

INTRODUCTION

Employees can be harassed by anyone in the workplace. That includes supervisors, co-workers, and even customers and clients. Men, as well as women, can be harassed and the harasser can be the same sex as the victim. Half of all working women have experienced some form of harassment on the job, a proportion that has not changed since the issue gained visibility in the early 1980s. Employers also suffer significant financial losses in terms of job turnover, use of sick leave, and loss of individual and workgroup productivity. Harassment can poison the work atmosphere and negatively impact other employees who are not themselves harassed. In fact, decreased workgroup productivity was the largest single cost to the government in its survey of harassment. This course will provide basic instruction for the employee on the subject of sexual harassment in the workplace. In this course, the main objective is to provide you with the basic information concerning what every employee needs to know about sexual harassment in the workplace.
