Objectives of the course

  1. Explain the basic principles and characteristics of the different types of remote sensing and their suitability for water management applications.
  2. Use different remote sensing products with GIS software to perform basic spatio-temporal analysis.
  3. Assess the accuracy of remote sensing data relative to other datasets
  4. Compile different remote sensing and other global datasets to perform a basic analysis of the water resources conditions in a river basin, identify possible issues and propose solutions in terms of management and monitoring

ACCREDITATION

Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be issued with an Indepth Research Institute (IRES) certificate certified by the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA).

TRAINING VENUE

The training will be held at IRES Training Centre. The course fee covers the course tuition, training materials, two break refreshments and lunch.

All participants will additionally cater for their, travel expenses, visa application, insurance, and other personal expenses.
