COURSE OBJECTIVES

Learning objectives

At the end of the course training, participants should be able to;

  • Understand the principles and concepts of IT Service Management as a practice;
  • Understand the ITIL Service Life cycle and its purpose;
  • Understand the broad concepts and definitions used in ITIL® comprehend the key principles and models;
  • Define the processes and their role within the life cycle concept;
  • Explain the main functions within an IT organization;
  • Explain the roles as defined within ITIL®

Course Outline

Module 1: ITIL Service Strategy- Comprehend customer business objectives and governance control.

Module 2: ITIL service design: Understanding the four Ps of Service Design for delivering the business objectives.

Module 3: ITIL service transition: Building, testing and moving the design into production to enable the business customer to achieve the desired value

Module 4: ITIL service operation: Involves managing services in supported environments. Involves event management, incident management, request fulfillment, access management etc.

Module 5: ITIL continued service improvement: aims to continually improve the effectiveness and efficiency of IT processes and services in line with the concept of continual improvement adopted in ISO 2000.


Course Administration Details:

METHODOLOGY

The instructor led trainings are delivered using a blended learning approach and comprises of presentations, guided sessions of practical exercise, web based tutorials and group work. Our facilitators are seasoned industry experts with years of experience, working as professional and trainers in these fields.

All facilitation and course materials will be offered in English. The participants should be reasonably proficient in English.

ACCREDITATION

Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be issued with an Indepth Research Institute (IRES) certificate certified by the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA).

TRAINING VENUE

The training will be held at IRES Training Centre. The course fee covers the course tuition, training materials, two break refreshments and lunch.

All participants will additionally cater for their, travel expenses, visa application, insurance, and other personal expenses.
