Introduction

The fleet management course will start by outlining what efficient fleet management entails. The training course then describes the components of stringent fleet and driver safety programs and experiment with different capital budgeting and distribution routing techniques.

In addition to this environment, fleet managers have to manage a variety of people including direct reports, and they also have to ‘manoeuvre’ across other departments such as sales finance and HR departments. At the same time, they need to know how to deal with top management in order to negotiate resources for the fleet – this is simply another level of management.

This course provides a framework for fleet management professionals. Upon successful completion, participants will be able to demonstrate a variety of knowledge and experience to effectively manage the operation of commercial vehicle fleets at different levels of seniority and responsibility.
