Day 1: Introduction to First Aid for Drivers
- The importance of first aid for drivers
- Legal and ethical considerations
- Basic anatomy and physiology
Day 2: Assessing the Scene and Safety
- Scene safety and hazard assessment
- Initial assessment of casualties
- Calling for professional help (911 or local emergency numbers)
Day 3: CPR and AED Training
- Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques
- Use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs)
- Hands-on practice sessions
Day 4: Common Injuries on the Road
- Recognizing and providing first aid for:
- Bleeding and wound care
- Fractures and sprains
- Head and spine injuries
- Burns and scalds
- Respiratory and cardiac emergencies
Day 5: Special Considerations and Practical Scenarios
- First aid for children and elderly passengers
- Special considerations for various types of vehicles (cars, buses, trucks)
- Real-life scenario simulations and practical exercises

METHODOLOGY
The instructor-led trainings are delivered using a blended learning approach and comprise presentations, guided sessions of practical exercise, web-based tutorials, and group work. Our facilitators are seasoned industry experts with years of experience, working as professionals and trainers in these fields. All facilitation and course materials will be offered in English. The participants should be reasonably proficient in English.
ACCREDITATION
Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be issued an Indepth Research Institute (IRES) certificate certified by the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA).
TRAINING VENUE
The training will be held at IRES Training Centre. The course fee covers the course tuition, training materials, two break refreshments, and lunch. All participants will additionally cater to their travel expenses, visa application, insurance, and other personal expenses.
